Woodmere Art Museum
Please see instructions on how to apply at the bottom of this page.
Intern Responsibilities:
The intern will be assigned tasks associated with Woodmere’s social media accounts, such as researching holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries relating to artists showcased at the Museum. They will learn how to schedule posts and grow social media audiences.
Some of the best ways to grow social media audiences include creating contests, doing “social media swaps” with other local museums/organizations, and creating interactive content to engage existing followers and encourage them to share posts. The intern will use a platform called OpenAsset to house our collection and receive training on how to use it. There will be opportunities to interact with the curatorial department when brainstorming on artwork and content. With a big exhibition opening in September, the intern will provide in-depth research on the artist and help create a social media calendar/schedule for the duration of the exhibition, which will be complemented with programs and lectures.
Qualifications:
Candidate should be familiar with a variety of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and occasionally others.
Interns will work onsite 28 hours per week and attend a mandatory offsite program day one day per week with their cohort.
Interns must be available for the duration of the program.
