INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

  • Earn over $5,000 this summer with Arts Intern!

  • Total Weeks: 9

  • The Arts Intern program will be 5 days a week which includes an offsite educational program day and students receive an additional $500 stipend!

    Total Amount: $ 5,540

  • Interns must be available for the full duration of the program.


Arts Intern Program

  • Studio Institute’s Arts Intern program matches skilled college students seeking valuable career experience with paid internships in museums and arts organizations.

  • These internships are crafted to provide interns with meaningful tasks and responsibilities that make them an active part of the organizations that host them.

  • The program seeks candidates with demonstrated financial need and encourages applicants from diverse cultural backgrounds.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Students must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree.

  • Program applicants must be enrolled as a full-time junior or senior for the duration of the program.

  • Students must either reside or attend college in the same city as the organization that hosts them. These boundaries vary in each of Arts Intern's eight participating cities.

  • Students must have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of less than $5,000. This number is on the Student Aid Report on the FAFSA form. To see what it looks like, click here.


ARTS INTERN ROLE

  • Arts Interns are offered positions in different departments across a wide array of museums and cultural institutions.

  • Arts Interns bring their unique voices to arts and cultural organizations.

  • Arts Interns may prepare exhibits, provide content for installations, or build and organize community events.

  • Arts Interns complete a unique educational component.

  • This includes written assignments, a final report, behind-the-scenes museum visits, seminars with museum experts, and presentations to peers and professionals.
