The main project & focus will be creating original social media content for Taller’s social media profiles. The content will range in topic from educational/informational to promotion of our events/campaigns and will take form in social media graphics such as post carousels, videos/reels, and more. The intern will be tasked with creating content to add to our Social media calendar, which will involve, researching relevant topics to the organization (Puerto Rican/Latinx history, important figures, cultural holidays) and come up with ideas of how to transform these into creative & fun social media content for Taller. In addition, the intern will assist with managing social media profiles, posting content, writing captions, & moderating comments.
As an intern, you will be trained by and working closely with our Content Developer who will provide you with hands-on projects and daily tasks that use social media platforms to promote and manage Taller’s brand image, events, & more. You will be able to apply your own knowledge and creativity to projects and gain essential experience needed for your career. These tasks will allow the intern to flex their creativity, design and marketing thinking, and allow them to explore many avenues of creation.
Intern Responsibilities:
Assist the Content Developer in ideating, producing, & creating social media graphics, reels, stories, and content across various platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
Utilize social media profiles to campaign Taller events & programs
Maintain, post, and update social media profiles with fun and appealing content
Grow social media presence/profiles
Write copy for captions & moderate comments across social media profiles
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of popular social media platforms, how they function, & are utilized from a brand perspective.
Proficient in art & design platforms such as Canva, Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, etc), and video editing (IG Reels, TikTok, Premiere or After Effects).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organized, able to project prioritize, & able to meet deadlines.
Proficient in Google Suite.
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in an art/design, marketing or related field of study.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment is a must.
Bilingual Spanish-English written and verbal skill set is preferred.
Interns will work onsite 28 hours per week and attend a mandatory offsite program day one day per week with their cohort.
Interns must be available for the duration of the program.

Total Weeks: 9 weeks
Work Hours per Week: 28
Total Hours: 252
Workdays: 4 days per week onsite
PROGRAM DAY:
On the 5th day of each week, interns will attend an offsite program day with their cohort.
These hours are separate from the internship hours.
