Teen Engagement Intern

Fabric Workshop and Museum

Please see instructions on how to apply at the bottom of this page.

The Fabric Workshop and Museum has two upcoming exhibitions which call specifically for outreach to teens in Philadelphia. The Teen Engagement Intern (TEI) will work with members of the Education Department to research these upcoming exhibitions as well as teen groups in Philadelphia. They will later work to plan and deliver teen programming at FWM and around the city of Philadelphia. The TEI will begin with an orientation period where the intern will be introduced to the mission and methods of FWM Education Department.

The orientation period will include observing and assisting with education workshops, tours, and programs. During this time, they will garner screenprinting, blockprinting, general art, natural dye, and teaching skills. After this initial orientation period, the Teen Engagement intern will work on an independent project centered around researching and developing inclusive and assessable engagement strategies for teens.
