Experience Museum Careers with a Paid Winter Internship
Are you an undergraduate with financial need who is looking for a challenging and rewarding paid internship this winter? Since 1999, Studio Institute’s Arts Intern program has provided early-career opportunities for skilled college students interested in museum careers, who may otherwise lack access.
MENTORSHIP AND APPRENTICE-BASED LEARNING
As an Arts Intern, you will meet seasoned professionals involved in all facets of a museum or cultural institution’s operation. You will acquire new skills under a supervisor’s guidance, working side-by-side with experts who can help you develop a professional network.
AUTHENTIC WORK EXPERIENCE
You will perform as a professional and earn a competitive wage while completing meaningful work as a member of a team. You will complete your winter internship having gained experience, skills, knowledge, and relationships to help prepare you for a future in the field.
EXCLUSIVE PROGRAMMING & SPECIAL EVENTS
Arts Intern programming includes multiple opportunities for interactions and working relationships with arts experts across the field, increasing your knowledge of and connection with cultural institutions in your city and others. You will meet and interact with your peers in the program and participate in “insider” tours at other arts organizations.
ARTS INTERN PARTNERS
Arts Intern partners with arts and cultural organizations in Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Memphis, New York City, Philadelphia, and Providence. Regular partner organizations have included: the Field Museum, the Studio Museum in Harlem, ICA Boston, the Barnes Foundation, the Cleveland Museum of Art, Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, RISD Museum, and many more.
